Clarks Hill / Thurmond Lake is fed by the Savannah River which is partially used as a border between Georgia and South Carolina. A friend and I rode up to the lake specifically to photograph a sunset. We were blessed with this scene just before the sun set. I am standing on the Georgia side of the lake in Lincoln County, Georgia but the shoreline you see in the distance is in South Carolina.

Schloss Seeburg - Iseltwald Switzerland



Iseltwald, Switzerland is home to the iconic Schloss Seeburg – or Seeburg Castle. This marvellous architectural gem was built in 1907 and has had a rather interesting history over the years. However, the castle is privately owned and not open to the public. It is visible from the edge of the lake, from high up on the hiking trails above and, in this view, from the lake itself. It adds a certain elegance to the little town.

My son and his family visited Switzerland in summer 2023 and he took this photo, and allowed me to use it for my art. I made minor digital enhancements.

Several trees stand in a calm expanse of water under a soft-lit sky, creating tranquil reflections. The serene blue tones and smooth water surface convey a sense of peacefulness and simplicity. This colorized photograph of the iconic Cypress trees lingering just off the shoreline of of Lake Moultrie, South Carolina will bring back memories for anyone who has ever seen them.
